On June 19th the Swedish-based diving company Ocean Explorer discovered something they’ve never quite seen before. They were exploring in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland looking for sunken treasures when a very unusual image suddenly appeared on the sonar. A 60 m (197 feet) diameter cylinder shaped object was discovered at the depth of approximately 84 m (275 feet).

In may 2012 the team bought a ship called “the Ancylus” to be used in an expedition to the anomaly to find out what it really is. The first expedition started in June 2012. The team reported unusual problems with their electronic equipment near the site. After sending down an unmanned mini-sub a ROV, the divers entered the water.
One of the more experienced of the divers , Stefan Hogeborn, gave the comment: “During my 20-year diving career, including 6000 dives, I have never seen anything like this. Normally stones don’t burn. I can’t explain what we saw, and I went down there to answer questions, but I came up with even more questions “

Some of the theories about this strange object are that it is a UFO. Other people think it could be ancient man-made structures or just a big rock with a strange shape. No matter what, images have proven that the object is unique with walls having 90 degree angles, steps and other features.

In this live wallpaper you get to explore it for yourself! It is down there and it’s real!
